So I’ve been getting a lot of questions regarding my favorite make-up, foundation routine, and lip products on both Instagram (@allthingsvictoria) and snapchat(vlagoyda). So I’m finally setting some time aside to talk about what every girl loves, Make-up.

Lets be honest, I love make-up and think it’s so much fun to experiment with it. I mean, in no means am I saying I’m a pro of any sort, but I’ve got some pretty sweet tricks up my sleeve.
I can definitely say that currently my skin is not at its best and I owe that to high amounts of stress from my college career (I’ll be a graduate this MAY!), as well as literally running on less than 5 hours of sleep every night trying to balance school, work, and a marriage. Moral of the story, my skin is looking forward to post-graduation.
Now back to make-up..

Foundation: I have been really loving the Dior foundation line, especially the new Nude Air, and Airflash spray foundation. Its been one of my favorite foundations and I find myself reaching for it daily. I love to set it with the Dior Airflash Matte Touch, by just spraying it directly unto a fluffy face brush and gently brushing it over my skin.
My routine is very simple, after cleansing and moisturizing I apply my Dior Nude Air with my clean fingers, I used to use a beauty blender and still do sometimes, but when you warm the foundation with your warm finger tips I find that it goes on much more naturally. I apply it in tapping motions, I never rub it in. Then I touchup blemishes with the Airflash Spray Foundation because its a little thicker and gives more coverage. Then I spray the Dior Airflash Matte Touch unto a brush, and as stated before I gently go over my face. I finish off by applying a blush of any sort (my favorite is this one by Nars) on the apple of my cheeks and I’m all set.
Continue reading for a secret tip that will change your make up look, and look flawless in photos.

Eyes: My eye make-up has become more and more simple and Im loving it. On most days I do not wear eyeliner anymore, but simply just this mascara by Too Faced called “Better than Sex”. But first I use this Too Faced palette to create a nude eye by covering the entire crease with the light white shade. Then I blend the color “nude” unto my crease and thats it. Apply mascara and Im all done.
I also used the darker colors in this Too Faced palette to fill in my brows. Works great as a multi- functional palette.

Lips: So I have to admit, I am a huge lipstick hoarder. I just can’t stop, and the collection keeps getting bigger. I love the Chanel balms, but for the past few months the YSL lip collections have taken over my counter. The two I am loving most for spring and summer are pictured above. I find them to be so hydrating that they have served as replacements for my Chapstick.

Tips learned over the years:
1. When applying foundation or even concealer, place the product on your clean finger tips to warm it up first, then apply in light tapping motions until it is well blended for a natural finish.

2. Avoid making dramatic brows, sure they look great and perfectly drawn on (*note: insert sarcasm here), but they will age you. Lighten up your brows with whatever product you are using, at least the portion closest to the center of your face for best results.

3. If using under eye concealer, apply it as the last step to your make up routine for a polished flawless effect, and lightly set it to prevent creasing. Make sure to blend it in with either a beauty blender or your finger tips.

4. Before applying a lipstick, run your toothbrush over your lips a few times to scrub away dry skin, but also increase blood circulation that will plump them up.

5. And last but not least, this is a little something I made up and I have been doing it ever since. This is my little secret weapon, but I think its time to share it…  After you applied your make up, spray a hydrating face toner- yes face toner over the entire look once or twice. Your make up will look 90% more natural and your skin will look so dewy and plump. I find that it makes my make up look seamless and radiant in photos. I love the Dr. Hauschka toner (buy it here) -this is the most amazing toner ever but, I and ran out, so I have been using the Lush Toner (buy it here), and sometimes the Kat Von D spray (buy it here).

It’s finally the weekend and we are quickly approaching April (my birthday month). Sharing my casual friday work look with these soft moto denim jeans and this amazing grey coat. I think Coco was pretty excited about the red shoes too.

When Missguided reached out, I was super excited to feature some of their pieces because not only are they affordable, they’re also great quality. This coat has quickly become my favorite transitional piece and I think I need to get another color before the Spring weather comes.

Snowy March

scarf: Zara | jacket: BCBG | jeans: Zara | shoes: Zara (similar here) | sunnies: Forever 21 | bag: Chanel
Happy Wednesday!
In light of this morning’s snow fall we experienced here in upstate New York, I figured this snowy post is appropriate. Although the weather has been improving rather quickly, we still get the occasional random snowfall here or there.

One thing for sure is that I am eagerly awaiting Spring and all it has to offer.
Here is a little outfit-inspo for what I’m wearing to transition from winter to spring.

My go-to transitional pieces have been the following:

blazers or jackets
leather jackets/moto jackets (currently obsessed)
scarves!!!!!
booties that can be worn in warmer/cooler climate
boyfriend jeans – cuffed on the bottom of course
layering (t-shirts with blazers/cardigans & scarves with light knits)
fedora hats with knits + skinny jeans

Chocolate Hazelnut Bowl

Last year I shared my acai bowl recipe with a few of my friends and it was a hit (I’l be posting my acai bowl recipe on here too – or you can click here: @allthingsvictoria).
This year I wanted to experiment with something different, and boy is this recipe a keeper. If you like chocolate, hazelnuts, and ice cream then your in for a treat.
This healthy bowl is great as a snack, quick breakfast, or even dessert!

Enjoy!

Here’s what you’ll need:

blender/magic bullet
1/4 c almond milk, or any milk of your choice
2 tbsp dark cocoa powder
1 banana
1-1.5c ice
2/3c roasted hazelnuts
1 tsp honey

Garnish options:
cocoa nibs
banana slices
roasted hazelnuts
coconut
hemp seeds
or anything else you love 🙂

Directions:

1. Place banana, milk and cocoa powder in your blender and blend until smooth. If you desire a thinner consistency than you can add 1/4c more milk.

2. Add your roasted hazelnuts, honey, and cocoa powder to the mixture and blend away (about 30 seconds or so).

3. Add the ice about 1/2 cup at a time to make sure the mixture is blended each time and to get that frothy consistency. Depending on your preference you may only need 1/2c ice, add more for thickness.

4. Place choco-hazelnut mixture in a bowl and garnish with whatever toppings you desire!

5. Enjoy and share your creation on instagram using the hashtag #eatCleanWithVictoria

It’s finally beginning to feel like spring! And with Spring on my mind I’ve decided to incorporate pastel neutrals into my casual friday work outfit. Im using this grey fur trimmed jacket as a transitional piece while still keeping this look light and breezy.
I must add that I’ve been looking forward to wearing pumps again. Check out the links I provided for some Christian Louboutin look-alikes that still manage to look just as classic.

Light & Fluffy Blueberry Scones

Ingredients:

1/2 cup milk (I used skim)

1/2 cup vanilla Greek yogurt (I used trader joe’s)

1 cup all purpose flour

1 cup whole wheat flour

1/2 cup coconut palm sugar
 – this is the one I use 🙂

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

3/4 cup coconut butter – Have you ever baked with coconut butter instead of regular butter? Ive used this one for over a year now and its a staple in my fridge!

 1 cup fresh blueberries

Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

2-4 tablespoons half-and-half

1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease.

2. Mix milk and yogurt together in a small bowl and set aside.

3. In a medium bowl, mix together both flours (white and wheat), 1/2 cup coconut palm sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon. Add the coconut butter and mix in with two forks (or rubbing the mixture between your hands to incorporate the coconut butter into the entire flour) until the size of small crumbs.

4. Drizzle the milk and yogurt mixture in and stir until almost combined (*Tip: pour the milk mixture a little at a time and incorporate it – depending on your flour you may not need to use the entire milk mixture).

5. Use a spatula to gently fold in the blueberries

6. Sprinkle work surface lightly with flour and place dough on floured surface.  Form into a 9-10 inch disk. Using a scone cookie cutter or the rim of a glass (3-4 inches wide) press into dough to create round scone shapes. Place onto baking sheet.

7. Bake for 16-20 minutes until tops are lightly golden. Remove scones from pan and cool on a wire rack.

Glaze:

While the scones cool, make the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with vanilla and 2 tablespoons half and half. Add more cream/milk if needed to get the desired consistency. Drizzle glaze over the scones.

Spring on my mind

dress: Zara | boots: Stuart Weitzman | bag: Saint Laurent
“No matter how long the Winter, Spring is sure to follow” – Proverb
To say that I’ve got Spring on my mind is certainty an understatement. I am so ready for warm sunshine, fresh flowers, and the sound of birds chirping in the morning.
This outfit was inspired by everything I love about Spring; the fresh blooms, clean whites, and fresh new hair (that I actually didn’t chop off – check out my hair tutorial on this hairstyle!).
